The view from here...
'been a while since I last wrote. I've been blessed with a life that is as far away from boring as it can get. The twist & turns; bumps & wonderful surprises; the lows, the highs & the highers:) what can I say! I called this bit "The view from here" because every once in a while I'm reminded of the those times when I would visit a place overlooking a city, either going on top of a mountain or finding myself on top of a tall building. It seems as if that's one of the first remarks I'd either say or hear from someone else, "It's an amazing view from here" What's fascinating about it is that a few minutes before that, I may have gone through that same city & saw how dirty certain streets were; or I may have passed through an alley that gave me a little bit of the shivers; I may have complained about how awful the traffic was... but it's amazing how, here I am, amazed, overlooking the wonderful view of that same city's landscape.

I've come to learn that life offers us the opportunity to see things in the same perspective ( one of my favorite words :) When the twists & turns don't seem that pleasant; when hard seem to only get harder; when the traffic in our minds seem to be congested with noise, fumes & impatient drivers; life gives us an opportunity to realize that from a standpoint much higher than ours, things do workout. I've found the joy in knowing that "...God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose."

Knowing how wonderful God has made my journey to be, with all the colors in the canvas of my life. I can see myself overlooking the things that go on in my life each day with a subtle smile, a depth of joy & that same awe in my heart saying "The view from here is nothing less than beautiful" :)
